This week was a good one! Lots seemed to have gone on. Monday we were off for MLK day, so that was nice. Even though I was off, the week still seemed to drag at work. Wednesday was another day of school, loving it. A lot to do, in the next 6 weeks, but that will keep me busy, so time will go by fast :)
Thursday was a busy day at work, and then we had our 16wk doc appointment at night. That went good, as usual. I lost 2lbs, but the doc said that was ok at this stage. The heartbeat was still strong in the 160's he said. The baby has moved up more, which I can tell where the harder spots and softer. I haven't really started to show yet, just a little plump. The major growth will be happening in the next 4 weeks. I can already tell, since Thursday I've been having a constant dull stretching/pulling pain. That's been fun! :) The baby is only the size of an avocado this week, so still small, yet almost fully formed. Just amazing!! We have our next appointment set for Feb 21st. We get to find out the sex then, I CAN'T WAIT!!!! And I will have to wait until the next day, the 22nd, to find out. I agreed to this craziness, and said that my BFF, could get the info from the doc, on a piece of paper, and then she is going to bake a cake, and the filling inside is either going to be blue or pink. Some of our friends will come, and we will enjoy the unveiling together. :) I really can't wait for that!! :)
Friday we got some snow, and let me specify, SOME!! People of course, freak, and don't know how to drive. Accidents were all over and travel times were just nuts, I left the house, intending to go to work, but when I was on the road, for an hour, and barely got as far as what normally 10-15mins would, I turned around and headed back home.
Today was a busy day, we had an early soccer game for our daughter, and then we had dentist appointments. I then took my daughter shopping for her bday, at the outlet mall and then to another. I bought some baby clothes for the baby, from Carter's. I am bad, I know, but hard to resist!! :) Needless to say, I am pooped out!! All that running around, it is nice to be able to relax for the night. I hope I can make it through a movie tonight, but I fear that sleep may get the best of me.
I am soooo looking forward to the next 4 weeks. The doc also asked me if I had felt the baby move yet, I felt some fluttering, but I wasn't sure, if it was anything or just gas. LOL He said it may have been the baby, but I didn't want to get too excited. So I look forward to being able to tell more and more, when it is the baby. :) So amazing!
This week has been a busy one. I have been super swamped at work!! ugggggg.... Besides that, I am tired, tired, tired..... To add to that, started school this week also. It was nice being back again, missed my schoolmates. Two babies, and two engagements, while we were on break. Myself and another guys wife is prego, and two chicks got engaged around xmas. Lots going on this year!
Seems like I've barely been home this week, and haven't seen my husband since Tuesday. awwwww When I get home, I pick up and clean some things really quick and then grab something to eat before bed, do some work, and then crash. My poor little alien is probably wondering why the sleep schedule has been thrown off. But the good thing is, I think I am too exhausted to wake for my mid morning bathroom breaks, as much. :)
This week, some new development's I have noticed. The baby has moved upward some more, towards the belly button. They are also enjoying the left side of my uterus, must be more comfy there. I sleep on my right side, so maybe they like to take the left. That is fine, I can share. :) My body pillow is becoming more and more of a dream, LOVE IT!!! The weird thing is, I don't know if I am just more in tune with things, but it seems like I can feel everything that is going on, which is creepy. But not a bad thing, just interesting.
The annoying thing that I've noticed this week is, I am extremely itchy, Boobs, stomach, thighs, back, etc... uggggg I want it to stop!!! Have to keep applying lotion to calm it down. Sometimes that doesn't work, and occasionally I will break out in small hives on my arms. FUN!! Again I just apply lotion/cream to calm that. Small price to pay, since I didn't suffer from any morning sickness or anything else. So I will take it I suppose, not much I can do. I've also noticed, I am out of breath more, going up stairs, and housework. So I sit down for breaks, every so often.
This woman at work today mentioned how boys are better to have. I asked why, she said, because they stay more loyal to you, than girls. They get all "bitchy" and they they know it all. LMAO... I said lovely :P Good thing I have an almost 15yr old step-daughter that reminds me of that frequently :P I think I am ready for anything at this point.
This weekend, we have date night tonight and tomorrow, and Sunday I have the first of 5 baby showers this year, let the fun begin!!! Oh AND been craving cucumbers, so I am currently eating a salad, w/ tons of cucumbers and ranch dressing for lunch!!! YUMMM!!! I will be buying some cucumbers this weekend also, just to snack on. :)

Well this week, we went and took family pictures, they came out really cute. I am happy with them. We needed some updated ones. After having shorter weeks, with the holidays, this week was a slow one. Was very busy at work, so helped keep my mind off other things.
I've noticed my tummy is shifting upward, and getting more solid as time goes by. I am going to order a belly band this weekend, I was recommended to get one. :) My back has been sore this week, and my breasts more sensitive... ouch... :/ but that is OK.... I am getting very impatient, I want the little one to come now!! waiting 26 more weeks, will be a killer! :)
I know time will go by fast though, I start school up again next week. It was nice having 3 months off, since I already took my English class. But my Wednesday's, for the next two yrs will be full, but worth it.
Today we go and pick up the crib. I can't wait! :) We are getting it from one of my co-workers. I will of course take pics, and once the bedding comes also. :)
Going to be a busy weekend, so naps will be taking place, so I can make it through the days and nights :)
I am glad to be in the 2nd Trimester now, can ease my mind of any problems, that may have happened before. I go in 2 weeks to hear the heartbeat again, I can't wait to hear my little alien. I am counting down the weeks, until I get to see them and find out what they will be, hopefully next month!
Also last night, dinner was hamburger helper. First the smell was HORRIBLE, and then, the taste... ugggg,, the baby is not liking beef. Maybe a vegetarian? LOL I couldn't keep down a glass of milk one of the nights, but I think that was just a freak thing, I was feeling icky, so it crept up on me.
So this week we started a new year! The year of babies!! :) The start of the week was good, took Monday off, to enjoy a nice 4 day weekend. Monday was NYE, and was spent at our friend Carrie's house. Had a fun time, watching all the drunks. :P It is definitely funny, watching from the outside. (man that is how we all look, huh?) Tuesday, I decided to do some deep cleaning of the house, room to room. Which then gave me ideas of painting in the spring. Just need to freshen up the color in the walls, it's been 4-5yrs, since they were painted. Other than that, relaxed the rest of the day off, and watched some tv and movies. Wednesday was back to work, and year end close for us. I was expecting it to be a longer and harder day than it was, but surprisingly it wasn't bad. Yesterday was the bad day, people seemed to be nuts, for the new year rush. ugggggg Made it to today, and I plan on coasting through the day, with some cleaning up here at work, and then i can get home to enjoy my weekend.
How I've been feeling this week, has been on and off. Nothing to major, and nothing to minor. More normal, growing pains, and noticing my bump is getting a little firmer. I've been rubbing my belly at night, while I lay there, hoping my little alien knows I am there. :) I am fearing that the little one, may not like sushi anymore. It is my second time having it, and didn't stay down long. Which stinks, cause I love it!! LOL I will give it one more try sometime, and see.
On NYE, I was sitting around all my drunk friends, and naturally, was looking at baby bedding online. So I ended up finding and purchasing my bedding! Theme is: Frogs and Monkeys! :) I got yelled at by a few, but oh well. I won't be buying any other things, not to worry. We are picking up our crib next week, from a guy here at my work. So we will be set, until the shower. My thoughts are, I don't expect people to get me things, so if I can myself, then I will. :) No biggy....
Jimmy can go back to making Key Lime pies again, cause this week, the baby is a size of a Peach! Horray!!!
Looking forward to entering the 2nd Trimester next week! Can't wait to see what fun 2013 has to offer. <3
