Baby Shower Palooza!!

Well this past week, was busy as usual.  Between work and school, that took up some time. LOL School, I have to prepare for a speech, for this week... YUK!, and work, I had month end close on Friday.  Only one more left!!! :) Not that I'm counting down. :)
Last Thursday, I had a doc appointment, and they did a stress test on the little guy.  He is healthy as can be, and I couldn't be happier about that.  The doc's words were "beautiful pattern".  Meaning his breathing was good, and his heartbeat was strong and he was getting enough oxygen.  So very good to hear.  The weird thing is, every time I see him, he seems to think, he's bigger than what he seems.  When I went for the ultrasound the week before he measured at 4lbs 11oz... doc said, he's a little big.. WHAT! That is normal!! LOL He's got to be around 5 and then some by now.  I actually gained 2lbs at this doc apt.  Which was good, cause I lost 3lbs before that.... LOL But he had to have gotten at least half of that. :P Chubbs, is a big solid boy. :)
Well after all that fun, Friday night I did some cleaning, and then my friend Jen stopped by, and we talked later into the night than we thought LOL She also dropped off of a big garbage bag of clothes, from what she  had from her son.  So my little guy is for sure set for this summer.  I can safely say, he will have a diff outfit each day! LOL I of course will document each adorable one! :) I better invest in some good coupons from Shutterfly, Cause I will need alot of albums :) hehe
Saturday was my baby shower.   The weather turned out to be cloudy, and that was ok.  My BFF, Mary through and amazing shower.  She did the cutest thing, and had live frogs as the center pieces for the tables.  Was VERY cute.  We even got to take one home.  Arielle picked out the baby one, so she now has a new pet.  Baby Moylan, got some very adorable things, and all we can't wait for him to use and play with. :)
After the shower, my cousin Kristie from Michigan stayed with us, since we had my other cousins baby shower yesterday.  It was nice catching up and talking late into the night.
Yesterday, we got up and went to our cousin Amber's Baby Shower.  Was very nice, and was fun to see all girl stuff.  Since I am having the boy, it's nice to be able to shop for some girl things too.  After that, Arielle and I headed to the pet store, to equip our new friend with his new home.  Then we ran some other errands. By the time I got home, it was time to make some dinner, then sit down and watch some of the Hawks game, and then the Organizing began.  That was much fun.  I unpacked a lot, and we sorted through it all and put it away. I made me even more excited, to see his room coming to a completion.  Sometime this week, I will bet setting up the Play Yard/Bassinet in our room.  He will be sleeping there for the first 4-6wks, until I am comfortable enough to move him to his crib. :) Then I have all this clothes to wash, which will be nice, and then I can finally sort all of that.
5 more weeks left, and I can't wait.  I am VERY anxious, and scared, and excited all wrapped into one. :)

Frustrated w/ Restrictions......

Well this past week has been very busy as usual.  I was wondering if it would slow down in June.  It doesn’t look like it will, I am already booked through mid month, with stuff.  Which is fine…. J  But I am getting more tired, and learning, I can not do as much as much as I would like.  I am very stubborn, and my restrictions that keep adding up, get me frustrated.  I want to be able to do more.  Even doing laundry this past weekend pooped me out.  I had to take a break mid-way through and relax.
Last week was busy with work, and I started my first class of Speech, for school.  So after the 6 weeks of school is up, I will only have 1 week to go.  Talk about anxious!! LOL I was going to take my computer class over the summer, but we decided I will be so busy and focused on my boy, even the 4 hrs away on weds, wouldn’t be good.  So I will make up that class next spring or summer sometime, not a big deal.  I will resume again in the fall (Sept).
On Friday, had a half day, and went to my last ultrasound.  Was so happy to see my big boy.  He is growing on schedule, and was at 4lbs- 11oz so far.  All his organs looked healthy and in place, and developed as they should be.  His heartbeat was 148, which has been normal and healthy for him.  He is still moving around like clockwork, every 2hrs.  He’s of course getting stronger, so he’s getting some good kicks in there now.   My BFF Mary, went with for the Ultrasound.  Was nice for her to be able to see him in there J  Since she will be seeing a lot more of me in 6 wks! Lol  Yeah her and the hubby will be in the room.  She is picture person, and he will be there for me to squeeze!!!  After the US, we headed back home, changed, and got ready for the evening.  Which we had a Tim McGraw concert.  It was very fun, I think the baby even liked it.   It was outdoors, so it wasn’t too loud for him, and I was able to sit on my blanket, if I got tired.  Which I did, around 10pm.  Was nice to spend the night with my friends, and enjoy some great music!  Makes me look so forward to this summer.  So many plans, and so many things we want to do.  Just hope my little guy will be ready for all our adventures. J
Saturday, was a good day to sleep in a little.   Then Jimmy and I ran some errands, and then rented some movies for the night.  Watched “This is 40”, some hilarious stuff about kids and family.   All in all a busy and relaxing day, at the same time.  Then watched game 5 of the Hawks, Redwings series… Hawks won!!!  Sunday we went and saw Fast n Furious 6.  Was very good!  Those movies are rarely a let down.  That night, we watched the movie we didn’t’ get to, from sat night. “Django” was interesting I suppose.
Yesterday was Memorial Day, so it was nice being off.  Enjoyed sleeping in, doesn’t happen that often.  Then did nothing all day, but laundry and some light cleaning.  Otherwise, I was tired and laid on the couch and watched tv, and saw the first Star Trek movie.  Then it was time for Game 6… which was another good one… had us worried for a bit, but ended up good!  So Wednesday will be Game 7, and I have school, but I will be keeping updated from my phone.  This is going to be very interesting.  I will either have a very happy husband after Weds night, or a semi cranky pants for a little bit, if his team wins or loses.  Yikes ;-/
Last week, one of my friends, had her baby boy, and he was able to come home yesterday.   Very excited for them.  He is a cutie!! \
Other than all that, it’s just the sleeping, that is getting to me.  I am up every 2 hrs… so I am perfectly ready for a new born LOL  but I sleep with my body pillow to my right, and two other pillows to my left.  I switch sides throughout the night, not fully sleeping on my side anymore, kind of propped in an angled position.  I slept on the couch for an hour Sunday morning.  It was comfy, so that may be my new go to spot soon.  I also need it very cold in the room when I am sleeping.  I had the air on last night, and I still managed to break a sweat.  LOVELY lol

I am looking forward to this weekend.  We have baby shower-palooza’s this weekend.  Mine is on Saturday and my cousins is Sunday.   So it will be nice to see family and friends all weekend.  I’ve been stalking the weather forecast, and the rain better go away!

Chubbs and his cheeks :)

All his bones and heart, and organs are good! <3

Busy Times......Busier times ahead....

Well the past two weeks have been crazy busy.  Between Arielle's prom one weekend, to mini girls trip and mother's day the next weekend.  Time is flying.  Not to mention Doc visits in between.
I had gone back to my doc May 6th, for a follow up on my sugar levels.  I was about 60% he said.  He was ok with still not putting me on medication, but still wanted me to monitor my levels every day, 4 times a day.  So that has been fun. UGGGGGHHHH....  At that visit he also mentioned that he thought the little man was growing ahead of schedule. We would know more at the ultrasound on the 24th.  But he mentioned, that he may induce me the week before my due date, if needed.  So we will see, we will know more, when we get to see his growth, during the ultrasound.  He's a healthy boy :) and his Heartbeat is always good.
Last week was a nice 4 day work week.  I started training my new temp, which is going MUCH better.  She  catches on much faster, and takes great notes.  So I feel a bit better, leaving and knowing, things may be ok. But I think I will still be monitoring things from home, from time to time, among a few others things. Oh well.
Last Friday, I was off, and in the morning, Mary and I had a plane to catch to Minnesota, for the Mall of America for the weekend.  We needed a little girls weekend.  Before all the craziness of a baby, and the summer brought us.  It was a much needed break.  We had fun shopping of course, as well at the Aquarium and Bubba Gumps for dinner one night.
I came back on Sunday afternoon.  Which was Mother's Day.  Was greeted with a nice card from my step-daughter. She is so sweet sometimes, for a teenager. :-)  Then later in the night, Jimmy and I went to Big Bowl , for dinner.   Yummmm... which he got me a wine.  I hadn't had much but a few sips, this whole time, while pregnant.  He said, I could have a glass.  I still didn't drink the whole thing, and had him help me.  I guess it's a mental block.  But I will be drinking plenty of wine afterwards, no worries. :)
This past week, seemed so crazy at work.  Was a shortened week though, which was VERY nice.  Wednesday, I wasn't feeling so great, and was VERY tired.   I haven't been sleeping that great this past week.  My knees and ankles have decided to give me more aches and pains, and my hips, when I sleep.  or when trying to sleep.  So I had about 3 nights in a row, of finally falling asleep around 2am.  Which when the alarm goes off at 6am, isn't that long. :(  So I all caught up to me, on Wednesday.  I slept till noon that day, and seemed to have sweat a fever out, i didn't even know i had.
Friday I had another follow up appointment with the doc.  I went into work early, to leave early.  Which was nice, and I can't wait to do it again this Friday.  But all was good, he still was ok with not putting me on meds, and the baby's heartbeat was normal.  He is always in the 140's.  I have scheduled appointments for the next 6 weeks.  This Friday is the Ultrasound, and then every Thursday in June.  It seems like a lot, but It's better to be over prepared, than anything.
I am starting to get a bit nervous and anxious at the same time.  I've talked with some people, about the big day.  I feel a little relieved and at the same time, still freaked.  I just want that part over with, so we can get to the after part, and my little man is here.
I am looking forward to the next 7 weeks, and hope they fly by, like the past 33 have.  I just feel like the pains, that have surfaced, will be the worst of it.  But if I can say I had 7 months with no problems, and only 2 with, I will take it.  He is all worth it.  Even when he kicks me really hard, and likes to bury himself in my ribs.  Still makes me smile, cause I love feeling him move around.  I really can't wait until he is hear.  And I will remind him how he was such a pain in my ribs :-P as he gets older.  But my tattoos, that I will be getting for him, will make them even more special.  They will be on my right ribs, where he seems to favor going to.
I look forward to this week and Memorial weekend ahead.  And the remaining journey I have left.

Crossing into single digits....

Well it was another busy week.  Hard to imagine, we are coming up on only 9 weeks left.  Amazing how the time has flown.  At least I think so.  LOL But I have a feeling, since I am so impatient, the remaining time will drag.  But so much will be going on in May, that all I will have to do, is hopefully just relax in June. Yeah right! :)
Last week, was a bit hectic.  Work, school, and getting kid ready for Prom. Tuesday was Prom shopping, and boy was that fun. (Said Sarcastically)
Wednesday was school, it was a pretty short, class, since we only have one left, which is a test.  We went over 3 chapters, and that was it! I will take it.
Thursday wasn't much, but then Friday kicked off the weekend.  Which I am still tired from. Friday we went out with some friends to see the movie Iron Man 3.  That was good.  I realized that I need to start going potty, before a 2hr movie.  I felt bad, that I had to get up, mid movie, to use the bathroom.  But there was no way I was holding it another hour. LOL
Then Saturday, we got up.  I cleaned a little, and then had some "me" time to do my toes and nails, while the house was empty.  I have to take advantage of that while I can. :) Then in the afternoon, took the girl to get her hair done.  Looked so good.  We went and took pictures shortly after, and then they were off to prom.  Jimmy and I then tackled her bedroom, mainly the closet.  We emptied it out, and put new shelves inside.  This was good to do, while she was out of the house, and out of the way.  :) While he was putting the shelving up, I was doing some "nesting" of my own.  Cleaned the rest of her room, and organized it.  Then I moved over to the babies room, where I finished a fleece cover for the mobile, along with a fleece cover for the railing of the crib.  Got those ideas from Pinterest, LOVE that site.  We didn't get done until late, seemed like it took forever, but it was nice, we watched some hockey, and The Voice, while we worked.  Then I figured, I would try and stay up, since I had to pick up the kids from Prom in a couple hrs.  But I ended up falling asleep for about 2 hrs.  Woke up at 3:30 and went and picked them up around 4.  They went on a post prom cruise downtown, on the Odyssey.  They said it was amazing.  Man proms sure have changed, since we had gone.  By the time we had returned home, I tried going back to sleep, but somehow couldn't.  Jimmy's snoring had me up, and then the birds outside were coming out.  Soooo I didn't end up falling asleep until 6am.... then woke around 10....
We decided to head to Lombard for the Lilac fest, which had a craft fair.  That my cousin was involved with.  We stopped by their booth a couple times, and ended up getting some Cowboys and Lions Bag-O Bags, for our boards that Jimmy is going to be making.  :) (Jimmy thinks he will be picking his own teams he likes.. hmmm we will see about that) lmao.....  And a cat toy, that the cats, LOVED when we got home.
I wanted to take a nap, and listen/watch the Hawks game, once we got home.  I ended up dozing off for about 20-30mins maybe.  Then our friends invited us to dinner.  So for Cinco de Mayo, we went out for Sushi.  LOL
I am pooped just reliving this past week LOL... So needless to say, I am tired today.  I just want to crash when I get home later.  I have a follow up doc apt to attend to first, so we will see how that goes.
In baby news.... he's still moving around like crazy.  We still play our little game, when he kicks me, I rub my belly and he kicks back.  It's too cute.  I find myself watching my stomach during work, or just sitting on the couch, I can see him kicking.  He is getting stronger each week, So I fear I will be in for it next month.  Heartburn has been fun.  This past week, I have been battling the soar ankles and calves.  They swell a little, depending on the heat, but for the most part, just sore.  Also the veins, BLUE! and look creepy, so I wont be wearing shorts any time soon... maybe just capris LOL  Each week, I am looking more towards what lies ahead.  I can't wait to meet him, and start spoiling him with my love. :) Oh and I've been using my heart monitor, and his HB has been consistent in the 130's-140's... strong and good :-) <3

Busy...Busy... Busy....

This past week was the busiest ever!! Something was going on each day.  I am pooped!! Last Monday I had a follow up Doc Apt, from my blood tests.  That was fun.(NOT) I am on a diet, until next Monday. Also checking my blood levels 4 times a day.  So that is fun..... sense my sarcasm there.  My levels have been normal so far, as a of last Tuesday when I started keeping track.  So I am a bit annoyed, since my normal diet, I don't eat that badly.  Sure I will have some sugar here and there, but that is to be expected.  But when you are given 100G's of sugar at once, yep your levels are going to be high.  I swear those tests are designed to fail.  But apparently my body wasn't breaking them down fast enough. ummm ok ...well I have been fine since.  So we will see what he says, about my numbers, he was going to determine if I would need to be put on medication, the last 9 weeks of pregnancy, as a precaution.  He didn't want baby, to be to big, or to cause pre-term labor.  My boy is just fine that you! lol
Well Tuesday was a crazy day, but followed up by a nice dinner at Chili's with my friend Becca.  The traffic still sucked, getting around.  Since a lot of roads were closed off, due to flooding issues, from the week before big rain storm.  So that was lovely.  After dinner I got to spend a little time with Jimmy before he went to work, but I also had my test for the next day to study for. :-(
Wednesday, was busy at work, and then school.  I had my 3rd test, and I was nervous about it.  But was in great relief, shortly after, I got a B! So that was a relief. After that, I headed over to the bowling alley, and watched the finals, for my friends bowling.  They ended up getting 4th place.  NICE!  Jimmy spent the day on set, for Chicago Fire again.  It's like his 2nd job now.  He is loving being an extra, and the little extra income, will be nice for him too. :-)
Thursday was a dentist appointment.  Just got my normal cleaning, but man oh man!! Did that hurt!! was the worst cleaning ever! My gums hurt so bad, actually I still think they do.  But oh well, that is out of the way until November.  After the dentist I got to go home and spend some time with Jimmy.  I hadn't seen him much all week ,with being busy, and he was out and I was out.  Awwwwww... So we watched some TV.  Then Friday, finally Friday!.  We went out to dinner to Hooters, with our friends, Curt and Carrier, and I got my spicey shrimp and crab legs.. mmm the baby loves :-)  Then we saw the movie, Oblivion, with Tom Cruise.  It was ok. LOL
Saturday, was an early day, we got up around 8am, and left by 8:30, to get to our 9am 3D Ultrasound.  It was so amazing.  Watching him inside there, and moving around.  He is way too cute, I can't wait till he is out, so I can spoil him with love!! :-) But I may be a little biased on that. hehe... He wouldn't stop sucking his thumb, which was cute in itself.  I hope he doesn't continue that little habit on the outside.  He looked very comfy inside, and peaceful and happy.  So I am glad I am providing a nice environment for him so far.  On the outside, it will be much more hectic for him! lol  We nicknamed him Chubbs, from his chubby little cheeks he has.  He definitely has my german chubby cheeks, and my nose, and mouth... so yep, we think he looks like me.  Which you can see from a crazy comparison pic below.  It's amazing how technology has come.  Along with a bunch of images we got of him on a CD, which I will have for his baby book :-P We got an elephant, that plays his heartbeat.  Super cute!  After we left the US place, we headed downtown to the nerd convention, for C2E2.  That was fun, and a lot of good people watching.  We spent almost the whole day there, and came home ate, and I did some crafts, and then we crashed.
Yesterday I got my hair done in the morning, and then we ran some errands to Ikea, and other stores, and did some grocery shopping.  Then I did some laundry, and grilled, and watched some TV into the night.  All in all a great weekend, and nice way to end a crazy busy week!!!
I am looking forward to May and June, where I hopefully wont be as crazy, but we all know that won't be the case. :-)

Cabbage Patch Kid?

Well I have now entered the 3rd trimester.  Here we go! I am looking forward to these last 11-12wks.  I think they will be the longest.  LOL but well worth the wait.  I am hoping this next week goes by quickly, so then I get to see my little man again, in 3D! :-)
This week, was pretty draining.  Work was busy, and not at the same time.  School was good, I got an A on my test from the week before, I was pretty excited about that.  Hopefully I do well on this weeks test, we will see.
During the week Jimmy had two days of filming for the TV show, Chicago Fire.  That is pretty exciting.  We will see if he actually gets on TV one of these times.
This past weekend was a busy one for me.  Friday, enjoyed date night with the Hubby at an LFL game.  That was fun! Then Saturday went to a hockey game with my friends at the Wolves game.  Today went to a chocolate party at Carrie's house.  A lot of good stuff MMMMM.....
Last week I was suppose to have a follow up appointment with my doctor, I had failed my sugar test.  The big bad storm decided to come that day, and our basement got a little flooding, as well as many other people homes and streets :-(  So the roads to the doc's office were blocked and I couldn't make it.  They had canceled all apts, and I am rescheduled for Monday.
I really hope we are done with this cold weather and move on to some warmer weather coming up.  I am over it! :-)
This week the boy has been moving like crazy as usual.  He still kicks every 2hrs, and sometimes even more.  On Saturday night, he was very active, while I was at the Hockey game.  It was very loud, so I think he was freaked out as to what was going on.  I've been dealing with some sleep issues, and some gas problems.  So that has been some fun new developments.  I hope those get better.

(He is the size of a Chinese Cabbage)

The Beat still goes on..... :-) (Video Attached)

Week 27 was a busy one, as usual.  I wouldn't expect any less at this point.  A lot went on this week. Monday and Tuesday were pretty normal, just worked, and trained my temp.  Wednesday, started the fun of the week.  Work and then school, where I had my test.  We find out this week, how we did.  yikes... Since I was done with my test early, I was able to meet some peeps by bowling, and watch them.  That was fun.
Thursday I was counting down the hours, until my day off.  The day was crazy at work, as usual.  People are getting more crazy, and we are working on our new system, which rolls out in increments.  FUN FUN!!  By the time I come back in October, we will have the whole company, in the new system.  OH JOY!! :-/
Well Friday started the eventful weekend. I was up and ready to leave the house at 8:30am, for my 3Hr Doc Apt, to check my Sugar levels.  So when I got there, they took my blood, then I had to drink this nasty, Orange Flavored drink, that had 100G's of sugar in it. YUK!! Every hour after that, they drew my blood.  I should find out this week sometime, the results.  We will see.  Last time, I just hit the top number of 139, and since my BMI is high, the doc wanted to do some more testing.  Lucky Me! Better safe than sorry I guess.  After a very long morning in the doc's, I then headed home, and ran some errands with the hubby for the afternoon.  We had to run to some stores, and then we went and picked up a Rocker/Glider, for our bedroom.  I will now be able to rock my little boy, back to sleep.  It is very comfy and I am very excited about it. After that, I had vet apts, for the cat's @ 6Pm.  So we took them, and then we lucky enough to schedule Garfield for his Neutering, the very next morning.  Poor boy.  After the vet, we headed to a local bar, and met up with some of our friends to watch the Hawks vs. Wings game.  Was a great game, Hawks won! and first time in over 30+yrs they swept the wings. Woot Woot! We went home afterwards, and I crashed from my long day.
Saturday, was a day of Grocery shopping and more errands.  Brought my daughter with me this time.  We ran all our stores, and then Groceries last.  It is getting harder for me, to lift, and bend at the store :-/ So I think I will always have to have someone with me now, for some help.  We got home, and the boys were able to help us unload, thankfully!! AJ was over for the weekend, so he was being entertained by Jimmy all weekend.  Later that day I had to go pick up our little patient, Garfield from the vet.  Awww he has a cone on his head for the next 2 weeks, my poor boy.  Then that night, the fun started, if I wasn't having enough fun already in the past 36hrs. LOL  It was time for Girls Night!! We headed over to Carrie's house, and we made our Fish bowls, and decorated them.  Mine of course was filled with Sprite and Grenadine.  But still yummmm :P The girls, made good use of theirs, with the unlimited amounts of alcohol they consumed.  We intended to leave Carrie's and head to a bar, but those Fish Bowls hit some of them hard.  So we stayed, played games, talked, and went late into the night talking.  Good Times! <3 Love my friends dearly.
Sunday I headed home early AM, then it was time for cleaning, laundry and the usual Sunday happenings.  I did all of that, and will continue more tonight.  Headed to Joann Fabrics, my other favorite place.  I made a blanket for my boy, since the other one I gave away, and I made some pillows, from extra fabric i had. :) I got some other fabric, to place over the arch of the Mobile, and the Railing on the Crib, Yep all Pinterest Ideas! :)
All in all a busy week, and a busier weekend, which never goes by slow enough. :-)
In baby news... He is still kicking me like crazy, every 2 hrs or so.  I have been getting more heartburn, and noticing, I can't do a lot of the same things I could before.  Well it is getting harder.  I am stubborn, so I need to know my limits. That's the hard part! While at the doc, I had scheduled, my 33wk US, for next month.  We will see how big he is, and if he will be earlier than they think. Hmmmmm.  Next weekend is our 3D US, and I can't wait to see him again!! :) He should be fully formed by now, and human looking :) I can't wait!! :)
Below I have attached pics, of the Belly Pic for 27wks, the Chair/Glider we got, Poor Little Garfield and his satellite reception, and a video of the baby's HB :-) Oh and he is the size of a Head of Cauliflower. :-P
